Lehigh has officially joined the nation’s top tier of research universities as an R1 institution. This is a major milestone worth celebrating! This achievement reflects the creativity, ambition, and impact of our faculty and students, whose research is shaping discoveries, innovation, and solutions across disciplines.
To mark this moment, we invite faculty to submit brief proposals to share their work on Friday, November 7 at the Lehigh Research Symposium, a day of lightning talks that will showcase the breadth and brilliance of Lehigh research. Whether your project is complete or still taking shape, this is your chance to spotlight why your work matters, spark new connections, and inspire colleagues and students alike.
Logistics:
- Talks should be 5-10 minutes in duration;
- Content should be accessible to a broad audience, including undergraduates;
- Proposal should be framed around why this topic matters.
Selection Criteria:
- Clarity and accessibility of topic and presentation;
- Diversity of disciplines and research areas;
- Relevance and potential for audience engagement.
