Policy Statement

Lehigh University requires all Senior/Key Personnel on proposals to or awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to disclose all research activities and affiliations (active and pending) in Other Support (sometimes referred to as Current and Pending Support).

All Senior/Key Personnel on proposals to or awards from the NIH must fully understand their responsibility to disclose all resources made available to them in support of and/or related to all of their research endeavors, regardless of whether or not they have monetary value and regardless of whether they are based at the institution the researcher identifies for the current grant (Lehigh University) or an external institution (domestic or foreign).

Full transparency throughout the life of an NIH grant is critical. NIH reviews Other Support submissions to ensure there are no scientific, budgetary, or commitment overlap, that sufficient levels of effort are committed to the project, and that any foreign resources or  components have received appropriate prior approval.

Personnel are required to complete a DocuSign form certifying they have read and understand this policy.
